Home UpgradesDuct Sealing, Repair & Air Balancing in the Temecula Valley
Hot upstairs, cold downstairs, and a vent that barely blows? Start in the attic.
Most uneven-temperature complaints trace back to the ductwork, not the equipment — a leak, a crushed run, or airflow that was never balanced across a two-story home. We inspect the actual ducts in your attic, then seal, repair, replace, or rebalance whatever's actually causing it.
The valley play
Cool nights are free cooling — if the house is set up to use them.
The valley runs 105° days and 65° nights. A whole-house fan flushes the day's heat after sunset, attic insulation keeps it out, and sealed ducts stop paying to cool the attic. Each one multiplies the others — we start at the cheap end and only move up if the cheap fix doesn't solve it.

Fast Honest Service
Sealing, repair, replacement, or balancing — which one do you need?
It depends on what the inspection finds. A few small leaks or loose joints usually call for sealing. A torn or rodent-damaged section is a repair. Widespread crushed, kinked, or aged flex duct through the attic is where replacement earns its keep. And if the ducts test out fine but rooms still run hot or cold against each other, that's an airflow and damper-balancing problem, not a duct problem. We check the actual condition of your ductwork before recommending any of the four — never the other way around.
Whole-house path
How it goes
- 1
Duct inspection
We check the attic ductwork end to end — leaks, disconnects, crushed or kinked flex duct, and how air is actually reaching each room.
- 2
Written quote
Sealing, repair, replacement, or a damper adjustment — whichever the inspection actually points to, priced in writing before we start.
- 3
The fix
We aim to finish sealing and repair work same-day. Larger replacement runs are scheduled and scoped upfront.
- 4
Airflow check
Before we leave, we verify air at the vents that were the problem in the first place — not just at the ones that were already fine.

Questions we hear a lot
What is duct sealing and do I need it?
Duct sealing closes the gaps, loose joints, and small tears where conditioned air escapes into the attic instead of your rooms. If you're running the AC constantly and still fighting hot or cold spots, leaky ducts are one of the first things worth ruling out.
Why is one room in my house always hotter or colder than the rest?
Usually a duct leak feeding that room, a crushed or kinked run cutting off airflow, or a system that was never balanced for a two-story layout. We inspect the actual duct run to that vent before guessing which one it is.
Why do I hear whistling or rattling from my vents?
Whistling usually means air is being forced through a gap or an undersized opening; rattling often means a duct has come loose or is vibrating against framing in the attic. Both are diagnosable on a single inspection.
What's the difference between duct sealing and air balancing?
Sealing fixes leaks so air stops escaping before it reaches the room. Balancing adjusts dampers and airflow so the air that does arrive is distributed evenly across every room, including a hot upstairs or a cold downstairs. Some homes need one, some need both.
Can you replace just part of my ductwork, or does it have to be the whole system?
Often just the part that's failing — a single crushed or rodent-damaged run gets replaced while the sound sections stay put. Whole-system replacement earns its place when the flex duct is aged or undersized throughout the attic. The inspection tells us which — you're never paying to replace duct that's still doing its job.
