When should I start with duct sealing?
When the AC runs hard and rooms still fight hot or cold spots. Sealing closes gaps where cooled air escapes into the attic. We rule leaks in or out on the inspection before quoting anything else.
Why is one room always hotter or colder?
Often a leak to that room, a crushed run, or a two-story system that was never balanced. We follow the duct to that vent before guessing.
Why do my vents whistle or rattle?
Whistling usually means air forced through a gap or tight opening. Rattling often means a loose duct against framing. Both show up on one attic inspection.
What's the difference between sealing and balancing?
Sealing stops air from escaping before it reaches the room. Balancing adjusts dampers so the air that arrives is shared evenly. Some homes need one; some need both.
Can you replace only part of the ductwork?
Yes — a crushed or chewed run can go while sound sections stay. Full replacement is for aged or undersized flex throughout the attic. The inspection decides; you don't pay to replace duct that's still working.
